INTERFACE Bulli, is a project that began in 2008 between the collaboration of Ikonic (Pere Gifre and Daniel Molina) with Ferran Adria and his restaurant elBulli. Initially the project was based on a charge of Ferran Adrià to design its new dishes, but then we realize that we can go further and the goal becomes to design new ways to serve food.

This new approach gives rise to a research and pioneering development in the area of ​​industrial design and cuisine. Ferran Adrià in 2010 heralds the end of the world’s best restaurant El Bulli to make creative foundation of elBulli cuisine, INTERFACEBULLI becomes one of the R & D department that will support this new foundation.

About elBulli

In 1964 the German Hans Schilling and his wife Marketta founded a restaurant called El Bulli Creek Montjoi located in Roses. Juli Soler joined as director in 1981 and Ferran Adria in 1984 as head chef. Both were the cornerstones for the development and worldwide recognition of the restaurant.

Part of its success has been to introduce new techniques based on physics and chemistry of foods such as hot gelatins or spherification, achieving fantastic results in dishes that are revolutionizing the world of cooking in recent decades.

elBulli has been awarded the highest international awards for its constant innovation and research in the gastronomy.

About Pere Gifre

Pere Gifre, industrial designer and conceptual artist born in Figueres in 1974, specializes in VFX design and development for sculpture, sceneography and motion pictures.

Technological advances have enabled the materialization of formal complex ideas that would have otherwise been unattainable, allowing us to conceive the inconceivable and create the impossible, and opening the door to a world of imagination and fantasy.

He continues to move in new directions, experimenting and developing new ideas and techniques to apply to his projects.

About Daniel Molina

Now I’m focused on sales and the managing for Fantastic Orange Tree company. Founded in 2009 by Pere Gifre and Daniel Molina, Fantastic Orange Tree has already created cartoon series Celebrity Day and 3 CHEF which is currently id development.

Fantastic Orange Tree is also working to produce its first feature film INTERFACEBULLI that will be premiered in November 2011. I’m IKONIC project manager/producer and project manager at INTERFACEBULLI tableware research and development center.
